Connection Issues

Players unable to connect or experiencing lag? Here are common causes and solutions.

Players Cannot Connect

• Verify the server is running in your panel
• Check players are using the correct address
• If whitelist is enabled, ensure players are added
• Check online-mode setting matches client authentication

Lag and High Latency

• Check TPS (ticks per second) - should be 20
• Reduce view distance in server.properties
• Remove performance-heavy plugins
• Pre-generate chunks to reduce load
• Check for entity buildup (too many mobs or items)

Timeout Errors

If players get Connection Timed Out errors, the server may be overloaded or unreachable. Check console for errors and verify the server is responding.
